In this exercises you’re going to work your way up the strings playing the same note, then repeat this process for the next note until you’ve done all twelve.
The order of notes we are using is called the cycle of 4ths, it goes like this –
C,F,Bb,Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,B,E,A,D,G,C
It is a very important sequence to memorise, but thats a lesson for another day.
